There are plenty of tutorials out there on how to increase vram, but make sure you follow steps for your specific OS, as it is much different on Windows 8 and newer.Īs for the dragging issue, trust me, you do not want to try to play this game running only on 1FPS. You can't increase it by an extreme amount, so keep that in mind, but Fallout 4 requires at least 2GB dedicated virtual ram. However, your graphics card will probably be your biggest issue.Īnother possible solution to those that may be having issues with FPS and game quality, maybe try to increase your virtual ram. I've seen people play with 4GB ram, with little to no issues. Like others, I think 4GB should be your absolute minimum for this game (though 8GB or higher is ideal).

I love gaming on tiny machines and getting FO4 to even just barely drag by would warm my little heart immensely. Is there any chance, with the ultra-low graphics mod and possibly Windows 10 readyboost (as much as possible, in a USB 3.0 port), that I could run FO4? It works with Fo3 and NV just fine.

However, I will soon be getting a laptop pc with a 2.58 ghz processor and 2gb RAM.
