
He had a nervous wobble where he wasn't sure what the dish was, so judge Monica Galetti explained the task. Wanting to test himself against some of the best chefs in the country, Liam had to face the skills test to advance to the next round, and was given the challenge of cooking a crispy chickpea panisse with an aubergine dip. On why he wanted to take part in the series whilst introducing himself, he said that despite the high standards and pressures of working at a top establishment it's what he has always wanted to do. The Cheshire-born chef currently works in a two Michelin star restaurant in Nottingham, and has been cooking for ten years with a passion for fine dining.

Liam, 24, had to face the judges with a difficult dish which he needed to make in just 20 minutes, but coped with the task despite being unsure what he would have been making to start with. A chef from Warrington has wowed the judges on MasterChef: The Professionals with an "excellent" display in the skills test.
